Shown in both colourways down the Marée Noire catwalk, the Regenerated Towel Skirt is an accessible runway piece that takes upcycling to the next level. Ingeniously taking deadstock towels from France, sourced from weaving factories in Les Vosges, Marine Serre imagines a woman who dresses for a future so warm that towels are needed to absorb the inevitable sweating. By taking a classic reference such as a Chanel suit and blending it subversively with upcycling, this style represents the essence of the Hybrid design the brand is known for since its foundation.
The selection of towels is carefully carried out by our team, choosing only pure cotton jacquard towels in white that are then dyed in France by a small company using eco-friendly dyes. The fringes of the towels are graciously placed as a finishing on the skirt hems, adding movement to the pencil-fit design which closes at the side with a zipper. Gold buttons customized with the moon logo decorate the side seams from mid-thigh level and allow them to be gradually opened or closed, functioning as vents to provide extra leg room. The garment is sumptuously finished off with a soft cupro moon lining that will assure comfort against the body.
